Careers in Mental Health
On Thursday 13th May we had a parent, Miss Rowland, come into the academy to do a talk on careers. Miss King had invited parents to share their experiences in the world of work as part of CRA's careers programme to broaden the horizons of our students in relation to employment.
Miss Rowland is an experienced Mental Health Support Worker and works with lots of people in the community supporting their wellbeing and mental health. She spoke about what led her into this career and the skills and attributes it is important to develop. As well as the wider impact of COVID on the mental health of our community and how we can all look after our mental health.
We look forward to some more careers talks from our parents over the coming weeks.
